Stitching Our Strengths
Stitching Our Strengths was a deeply meaningful community art project and exhibition, curated and led by Kerri Weymouth at the Kerri Weymouth Art Gallery & Studio in Coleambally.
The exhibition, held on White Ribbon Day, showcased the collective creativity of the participants and served as both a tribute and a safe space for reflection, conversation, and connection. The flags will soon be permanently displayed in the new Linking Communities building, continuing to offer encouragement and support to those who visit.
Special thanks to our main sponsors BayWa r.e., Valmar, and Linking Communities for entrusting me with this important initiative. Deep gratitude also to the Coleambally & Griffith CWA branches, the Griffith Soroptimists, and the Griffith Regional Art Gallery for their generous support.
A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible women who contributed their time, creativity, and spirit to this project.
